Sacrifices

Post by $tinky » Sat Mar 15, 2014 6:47 am

I've noticed when scoring that if a player for example grounds out to the ss with a runner on third and the runner scores that this is counted as an AB and not a sacrifice. Am i wrong in thinking that this should be scored different?

That is not a sacrifice. There are only two things that are sacrifices... a sacrifice bunt advancing a runner to any base, and a sacrifice fly when a runner scores on the fly ball. Anything else is not a sacrifice.
