Situation: The team I score for expanded this season and there is now one group of 24 kids, but two teams will be fielded. However, there will not be consistent rosters for either team and they may play each other in tournaments occasionally. We do want a team website to aggregate stats for each player.
How best to handle this situation with iScore?

If it is truly two separate teams, you are probably going to want to create two teams in iScore. The downside is that the stats will have to be viewed separately when viewing team stats, and if you wanted a Team Website, you would need two. You can still view a player's cumulative stats across both teams by viewing the player card for the player.
If you decide to go with a single team, the downside would be not having the "separate" stats for the two teams... though maybe that is what you would prefer.
If you go with one team, then when the team plays itself, you will have to create a second team just for that game, and be sure not to include the same players in the lineup for both home and visitor teams (i.e. only include the players on each side that are playing for that side on that day).

Re: One group of 24 kids - two teams?
Thanks for the reply. I actually figured out a pretty nifty solution that I *think* will work.
I created one team with all the boys on one roster. I am then dividing the teams in Leagues. The boys will sometimes play split squads and even face each other, other times the elite players will be pulled out, the non-elite players will also play on their own, but all those teams will be flexible with players moving around somewhat.
For this past weekend we had two split squads playing in the same tournament. I created a tournament league, a Team Split 1 league, a Team Split 2 league, and a Facing Each Other league. They did face each other in the championship game. It's not a perfect solution, but given our unusual circumstances this season, I think it will work. It will give our coaches a way to look at the boys all together and to separate them out based on which teams they are playing in any given tournament. It will also be a way to compare stats apples to apples. At least that's what I hope!!!
