Scoring one team

Post by bmeyer7 » Wed Aug 21, 2013 6:41 am

I only keep score for my team, is there a way to just score one team and then just put the runs in for the half inning of the other team rather than making up something to get through the half inning?

No there is not currently a way to score only one team. For the other team you can create one player and just assign home runs for each run scored and then end the inning. Should be easy to do between innings. You are giving up a lot of useful information on the opposing team though by not scoring (player hitting charts being my personal favorite) that could be useful the next time you play their team.

If you don't score the whole game you loose key information. for your offense or defense.

I would encourage you to use "quick roster" to create an opponent. can use generic names Player 1,2,3, but be sure you know how many in the batting order. (getting that right is critical, so program knows when you reach end of order and go back to top of line up).

Thanks for the info, its just a slo-pitch softball team I am keeping stats for so it not that big of deal to know where the other team hits.

depends on you needs i am sure.

but do you care what your pitcher is doing? the current count on a batter? number of outs ? how many pitches per batter or inning, or hits allowed or walks allowed, is this the top of the order, clean up hitter or bottom hitter, ? those things i find come in handy and i have at my finger tips if i just set up the quick roster right to start the game and score balls and strikes as the game goes on.
