cannot "Play!" after creating a game....

I've been trying to start scoring a game on my new device, but the "Play" button at the "Game Info" screen only takes me to the team's rosters. From that point on, my only options are to "Sync", "Home", "Visitor", and "Options". The "Play!" option is grayed out.
Am I missing a step here? I just want to start scoring a game. What do I need to do?
Any help would be much appreciated.

You need to set at least one player on each team to Batting = YES in order for the Done button to become enabled and advance beyond the lineup screen.
