Home visitor stress

Post by mwhittington » Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:51 pm

Im always stressed at the start of the game because we don't find out if we are home or visiitor until like 2 minutes before first pitch
Then I'm scrambling to make sure lineup all set, sometimes swap, email link to parents, etc

Is there an easier way?

When you press Play to go into the scoring screens, and the lineups appear, you can use the Options -> Swap Teams choice to switch home/visitor.

See the Swap Teams option under the Scoring Screen section in our documentation at:

A suggestion here is before the first pitch of a game you should still be able to go back to that lineup screen to swap home/visitor teams. Two times recently I accidentally hit Done to go to the game BEFORE we found out who was Home/Visitor and I ended up having it wrong. I had to delete the game and recreate it, then redo the lineups very quickly before I missed too many pitches. Both times I noticed I did this before entering a pitch so it would've been nice to be able to back out and correct the Home/Visitor.

I believe if you accidentally start the game, you can still hit "UNDO" to get back. The "Swap Teams" option should be available again.

I haven't had to do this in a while, so hopefully someone can verify.

That is correct. As long as the game is in pre-start state (even if you used undo to get back to it), exiting out and hitting play, will will take you back thru the set lineup process where the swap feature resides. No need to recreate the game.
