Pitch Hitter

Post by Ef2255 » Tue Apr 02, 2013 9:47 pm

How do I get ph in the position box on my scorebook for a pitch hitter? When I toggle on the hitter all I get as a choice is his defensive position & offensive position. Am I not seeing something or am I doing something wrong?

A Pinch Hitter is just an offensive substitution that is followed by another substitution. There is not a position for pinch hitter as it is an offensive event, not a defensive position.

Thank you for getting back to me. I understand that a pinch hitter is an offensive event I was just pointing out the options available. I generally use pr for pinch runner & ph for pinch hitter in my scorebook to differentiate between the two in the pos box. But within my Iscore scorebook it just places a - in the position box which doesn't explain what it is. Is there a way within Iscore that designates the position as ph? If there is and I'm just not seeing it then this is the piece I am missing. If not is this something that will be added in the near future? Knowing what type of substitution it is definitely makes things easier to understand within the moment and after the fact.
