Runner Advancing on a throw - showing on next batter?

Post by bdp81 » Mon Mar 25, 2013 1:54 pm

I think this is a glitch in iScore which I wish could be changed...I haven't seen this yet in the forum...any guidance is appreciated.

Play - If a batter gets a single which results in a throw home, and the batter advances to second on the throw, the only way I have seen to advance the batter to second is when the NEXT batter is up.

This does not make sense to me since the next batter has nothing to do with the advancement...am I missing how to score this correctly with the app?

Thank you.

Welcome to the board!

Should be scored as:

In Play->Single
What happened to runner at (lets say second)? home-safe-advanced by batter
What happened to batter? second-safe-on the throw.

in other words this can all be accomplished on same play. Though, statistically, I dont think anything would change doing it in two plays as you are now.

It sounds like you have "Minimize Questions" set to Yes. If you change "Minimize Questions" to No, then you will be asked about each runner (including the batter) at the end of each play.

See the Reference Manual available at http://iscoresports.com/baseball/training.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in the Documents section for detailed information on this setting, and many other tips for scoring.

In fact, your exact scenario is the one that is used as the example in the Minimize Question section.

Thank you FTM and mprusak...

Yes, the "minimize questions" is what I was looking for.

I missed that in the reference manual....thank you.
