Roster

Post by AE32170C18 » Mon Mar 18, 2013 3:30 am

I typically change my starting lineup in team manager. However when I enter the gave and it brings the roster up the team is never saved in the order I saved it in team manager. What am I doing wrong?

This should certainly work. Can you be more specific in steps you are taking and where you are looking to see the expected changes?

You cannot create a game, then make changes in roster and then have those reflect in that existing game.

I make changes in the "Team Manager" and save. Then create game. When I go to the game in "Game Manager" it is not saved in the order that it was in in "Team Manager".

What device are you using? It works as expected on iphone and ipad for me.

You dont have duplicates of the team do you? (changing one, then selecting the other)

Making a change to the LINEUP does not make a change to the ROSTER for a team automatically. Lineups are specific to games, and the roster is the set of players on a team.

If you make a change to a lineup that you want to be seen on the team roster, then when in the Lineup screen, tap the Options button in the bottom right, and use the "Copy Lineup -> Roster" button that pops up.

I interpreted the question as to why changes in Team Manager were not being reflected in default lineup when creating a game. This quote would seem to support that:

However, it may be that this is where the confusion lies...maybe I misunderstood the question.

Sounds like you are right Mark. But iScore DOES work that way, so don't understand the question if that is the case. Whatever you have as the order of players in the Roster in Team Manager becomes the default for the Lineup for new games you create. It will not update existing games, but for newly created games, that will be the order.

Just confirmed it again on a device that it is working that way (rearranged some players in the roster, created a new game, and the Lineup reflects what the Team Roster shows).
