I read through several posts regarding scoring errors but still not sure I am doing it correctly. Lets say a ground ball gets past our 3rd baseman and I want to score an error against him instead of awarding the batter a base hit. I hit "in play" then "error". It then asked me to tap the position of the player who caused the error. I tape on the 3rd baseman. It then shows the runner on first and ask's how he got there. Do I need to tap "error again"? My goal is to assign him a single error but I find myself tapping "error" repeatedly. In this case, there is only one baserunner. If I have two or three baserunners and they advance as a result of an error, I have been tapping "error" and then the player repeatedly for each of the runners. Is this the right way to do it or is there an easier way?
Thanks

Re: Scoring Errors
After the batter has made it to first, iScore asks what happened to the runner on first (now that he is a runner instead of a batter). Sometimes the batter will advance to second, but most of the time you will just tap "Held Up" when iScore asks what happened to him.

Re: Scoring Errors
held up would be the preference but if you tap error again i score is smart enough to realize same error and wil not assign two errors.
Re: Scoring Errors
and if there are two outs and runners on base that advance on the error, if I score "in play->error" it is iscore smart enough to score the other two being advanced and possibly even scoring as an Error as well, or do I need to mark error and choose the person who committed the error multiple times?
Re: Scoring Errors
you have to be more specific on your situation to answer in specifics
.... but in general yes, you get to assign the reason for each runner advancing, ..and would assign it as Error if that is the case. say you had runners on multiple bases (e.g., 2nd, 3rd ) and wanted to show them on the sore card as advancing (e.g to 3rd and home) as well as the batter to first on the single error by the 3rd baseman. you would tap error for each.. what happent to runner question? (e.g what happen to runner at 3rd, advance to home on error, what happen to runner at 2nd, advanced to 3rd on error, what happen to batter, advance to first on error). But i score would only assign 1 error for third basemen.
