Default settings at the start of a game
Default settings at the start of a game
How do I change the default setting of 10 players to 9 at the start of a new game? I am tired at the start of a new game of having to change the fielding of 10 players or I start a game and I don't catch it until an outfield play happens that has me looking and seeing 4 players in the outfield.

Re: Default settings at the start of a game
When you create a New Game, tap the Options row, and you can set it to 10 players from there. Whatever setting you use becomes the default for the next game you create, so you should only have to do this once, then all your new games after that will default to 10 players.

No it doesn't. The mound distance changes back to 40 from 43 and it goes back to 10 players every time.

We just tried it and it worked as expected. Here are the steps we did to confirm things work:
Go to Game Manager
Select Add
Select Home + Visitor
Select Options
Set to 9 Fielders, 43 feet Mound Distance (press Return)
Tap Back
Tap Done
Created a second game by selecting Add
Select Home + Visitor
Select Options, it remembered 9 Fielders + 43 feet
Change to 10 Fielders + 40 Feet (press Return)
Tap Back
Tap Done
Created a third game by selecting Add
Select Home + VIsitor
Select Options, it remembered 10 Fielders + 40 feet this time

Re: Default settings at the start of a game
This what I did:
Go to Game Manager
Select Add
Select Home + Visitor
Select Options
Set to 9 Fielders, 43 feet Mound Distance (press Return)
Tap Back
Tap Done
Start a game and get a couple outs and end the game
I then start a new game without going to options
I have 10 players on the field but the distance will be at 43 feet still
If I start a new game then open options, it will have 9 players and 43 ft, but I don't want to do that every time.

Re: Default settings at the start of a game
We just did another test.
Did all the steps to create a new game and set mound to 55 feet with 9 players. Started the game.
Then created a new game and started it without ever going to options and check the options from the main scoring screen and it had 55 feet with 9 players.
It sounds like in your last step maybe you are starting an existing game and not creating a new one? The Option are set for the game at the time it is created. So if you have created a bunch of games ahead of time, they are going to have the settings from when the game was created.
Any newly created games will use the last settings.

Re: Default settings at the start of a game
Sorry, but I create a new game every time. I even exit it, double clicked home, and closed the program completely, just in case after it didn't work. When I create a new game, it has 10 fielders. But when I create another new game then go straight into options, it has 9 players automatically without changing anything and the game has 9 players. But if I don't go into options, it will display 10 players.

My iPhone does the same thing.
