New at exporting my data

Post by momof7boys » Mon Oct 01, 2012 5:20 am

When I export my data, where does it go? I want to get all of last season's games and players off my iscore but don't want to lose the data. Also if I delete players out of the player info does it delete them out of their game?

It is not recommended that you delete old data if you ever want to see it again. The recommended course of action is to use leagues to filter data into meaningful groups, and you can turn off leagues for any games you are no longer interested in seeing. If you delete players it will delete them from games, leaving a blank in the lineup.

Exporting your data is primarily a way to back up your data on the iscore server. EVery subsquent export will overwrite previous exports so if you delete games and then export, those games are also deleted from the server. You can see all your exported data on the admin website.

SO I just have to deal with all those players being in there? I'm scoring 2 teams and I have lots of players listed that I have no idea who or where the play.

You can use Leagues to organize your data better if you would like. Here is a link that describes league usage:
