Illegal Bat Discovered - Batter is Out

Post by cfender » Mon Oct 01, 2012 3:43 am

Last night we have one of our players called out after he hit a double and his bat was dicovered to be illegal. I scored the play as a line out to center field but after I have uploaded the stats on the game, the team manager asked that I change the scoring to a double with the player being thrown out at 3rd base. Is there a way to go back and change the play from a line out? Also, is there a more proper way to deal with an "illegal bat out"?

A player hitting with an illegal bat should not be credited with a double. The whole point of illegal bat is that it negates the hit.

You should use Out, Other, and you can add a comment saying it was an illegal bat.

Seems pretty shady to even ask that. Obviously it's no hit.
