How do you go from one season to the next with new stats for
Is there a way to go from one season to the next with stats. We have finished one season of travel softball and are starting a new one. Would like to show fresh stats as there are new kids

The suggested way is to use League manager to create different leagues for different years, tournaments, leagues, etc. You can change the league names to make them sort so last year's league will be at the bottom. This helps you keep track. ANOTHER OPTION: I prefer to start each season with a clean database because many players switch teams, teams change mgrs, etc. There may be better ways, but here is what I do. (1) export database to iScore's web database. (2) delete the iScore app from your iPad. (3) Sync your iPad. (I sync mine to iTunes and assume it works the same when syncing to the cloud.) (4) Go to iTunes, find the iScore app, and put a check mark in the box to the left. (5) re-sync your iPad. You will now have a clean copy of iScore on you iPad. If there are some players, teams or games that you want to restore, just go to Options, Data Sharing, Get from Web Database, select what you want and download it into iScore. NOTE: After doing this, when you export again whatever you have on your iPad will overwrite everything on the Web database. If anyone has a better way of cleaning up the database, I am all ears.

Thanks, the league manager works great for what I need. This will be a great help as we start our Fall Travel Season this Sunday!

@ LarryKoch - thank you for the post and the alternate way to cleanse your data base between years.
to others reading, Use @LarryKock suggestion at your own risk.. it is one for advanced users, It has the potential to erase data with no way to recover. We generally recommend not deleting players, games and teams instead using leagues to filter them out of view.

I have a Droid tablet and I would like to remove old stats from the website so that the cumulative and my spray charts only show my current league. If I delete the app from my Droid, don't I have to pay to get it reinstalled?

No, you would not have to pay to reinstall it. As with any application you have purchased on Android it will be available for download from Google Play as long as you are logged in with the account you originally purchased with.

Another post had suggested using different leagues for each season to clear stats. This is what I did and it seemed to work well. That way you still have all stats if need be.

Another easy way to have fresh stats is just create a new team. i.e. Travel 2013. The team stats only show stats for that team. The player stats (through player manager) would still retain lifetime data, but you can easily manage that with leagues if you want to limit to a single season.

When running your stat reports, select just this year's league and you will only see stats for this year. When scoring a game, be sure the All league is selected and the hit charts will then be for all time. There is no need to view your team stats while scoring a game, so in general, keeping the "All" league selected while scoring a game is going to be most useful.
