New ID needed?

Post by Pidge » Tue Sep 11, 2012 6:59 pm

I am the scorekeeper for my son's team. He was on an a different team last year, and I don't want those families to have access to our current team's info/games. Do I need a new ID? If not, how do I change the settings on my current ID to keep the old team from accessing our current team stuff?

Alternatively, how do I keep everything in iScore private just to my iPad?

Thanks!

The customer ID is associated with your device. It can not be changed. If you want t keep everything just on your iPad, you can turn off iScorecasting and nobody will be able to see any of your data. You can also password protect iScorecasts by setting passwords on the Admin Website (http://my.iscorecentral.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

Thank you, that is very helpful.

Since many people like me might be scoring multiple kids games, it might be useful to have differentiable IDs for the same device. Thx!

@pidge, the device id being static and locked to one device is a hardware thing that wont change. but be assured many of us have multiple kids we track and multiple teams multiple team web sites ( and often even multiple devices as they play at same time different places) .. It takes some management, but it is not an issue keeping things straight, private and separated. if you take the time to assigned passwords correctly and/or monitor what you scorecast or what team sites you create. If you run into specific issues or questions, post back, the community will help guide you ...
