Spray Chart Legend

Post by michellesayre » Sun Jun 03, 2012 7:19 pm

Where can I find a legend of the spray charts? I'm guessing that green is a single, purple a double or triple and red an out. What is yellow? What is a dotted line vs solid line?

Thanks

Green = Hit
Red = Out
Yellow = Reached base by something other than hit (FC, Error, etc)

"Purple" is actually a shadow for fly balls

Dashed line = grounder
solid line = line drive
curved line = pop up / fly ball

Thickness of line shows hit strength
