Showing 'x' in bottom of last inning?

Post by OldRodKS » Sat May 19, 2012 5:02 pm

I've seen some iScore box scores posted on the web and they have an "x" in the bottom half of the last inning to indicate that the home team did not bat.

How do you get this to show up? Mine always show "0" there.

Also, when a game ends after 4 innings due to mercy rule, why does iScore show the 5th inning with "0" for both teams?

If you use Misc -> End Game at the end of the 4th inning, prior to entering any pitches for the 5th, it will show the game as over in the 4th with no information in the 5th inning.

We show a hyphen in the bottom of the last inning of the game if the home team did not have to bat.

That's what I did, but the box score still shows the 5th inning.

Mine are showing "0".

Both of these issues are in the box scores shown on the admin site. Is there another place the box score shows up that might be different?

We are looking on the device itself at the box score there and when emailing from the device. If you are using iOS and email, it actually does show an "x" in the bottom of the last for the newspaper style box score that is emailed.

If the game is not ending in the regulation number of innings (i.e. you have the game scheduled for 7 innings and you are ending in the bottom of the 5th when the home team comes up), it may show a 0 because iScore actually brings the first batter up for the home team and you are then ending the game. In order for the - or "x" to be there, the game would have to end in your scheduled number of innings.
