Opponent Scouting

Post by derekdc » Tue May 01, 2012 8:59 pm

Looking into purchasing the Android version of the app to use on my Motorola Xoom and have a few questions.

I play in a men's slow pitch softball city league. I am confident that the app will do everything that I want it to in regards to scorekeeping for my team (and much more). The main thing I am interested in is using it for building scouting reports for opponents.

I am wondering if the app allows me to score games in which my team is not involved. I would like to score other team's games to build a database (spray charts, etc) for future opponents in our league. I'd like to have a solid database in place for the end of season tourney. I'm fine with not having the information available in-app, but would like to be able to have printed copies of season data for the tourney.

Along the same lines, I'd like to separately be able to score state tourney (or other weekend tourney) games of potential opponents and have spray charts available for when we play them. If it's possible to score the games that my team isn't involved in, I'd like to be able to go back to those games (possibly in-app) and see how opponents hit in one or two previous games.

I hope all of that made sense. I'm curious to hear if others are using the app in a similar way, with more of a focus on opponent scouting than actual team tracking.

Thanks!

You can score for any number of teams whether "your team" is involved or not. The information actually is available in app. You can also email the data to yourself to print.

You can view all the hit charts of any games you have scored right from within the app.

Excellent, thanks.

Will it compile all of the separate game stats and spray charts for opponents or will I need to view the games individually to get the info?

It will compile by team or player. There is a feature called leagues that allow you to further refine what group of games you view. See here for more info:
