Hi folks - this is my first post. I love this app, but had this weird situation.
Batter #1 is walked but ball 4 is wild pitch and runner scores from third. This run invokes the mercy rule so inning ends early. In our league, the walked batter #1 is allowed to lead off the next inning (either that or coaches made a mistake). Regardless, iScore has batter #2 leading off next inning since it thinks batter #1 was walked.
So I just scored the team's next inning as off by 1 batter, hoping to fix later. It does not appear I can fix it in pitch by pitch. Suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Mercy rule ends inning on WP - last bat up next inning?
You can not shift at bats to a different lineup position post game.
In the future, if this happens, there are two ways to handle it:
1. (probably the best) is to not enter the 4th ball. The 4th ball triggers a walk, so your league not giving the player the walk seems a little odd, but if that is your league's local rule, then do not enter the 4th ball and just have the batter score from home by tapping the runner on third, Safe, Home, Wild Pitch
2. If you do enter the walk, you can use Skip Batter to get back to the correct batter in the next inning. You will have to manually adjust the BB stat for the player post game if your league does not give the player credit for a walk, and also reduce the number of walks for the opposing pitcher.
Still not sure why the walk would not be counted... the walk occurred first, then the run scored on the wild pitch, so it seems that should have counted.

Thank you. I'm not sure either and I'm wondering if the coaches/umps just made a mistake in this case by letting the walked batter lead off the next inning.
Can I use "Undo" to go back and not enter that 4th ball as you say?

Yes, you can use Undo if you realize it immediately. If you use Undo now, you would have to rescore from that point forward in the game. If it is late in the game, this might not be too bad... you can use the scorecard to refresh your memory on what happened after that point in the game.

How can you not walk the batter?
The pitch was thrown.
It was a ball.
