Entering stats in iScore from regular score book

Post by sfr » Wed Apr 18, 2012 12:06 am

I am entering data in to iScore from a game that was scored in a traditional scorer's book. I pieced together how to do this reading thru various threads in the forums. I essentially started a game and then promptly ended the game.

I am only entering in the info for cumulative stats purposes, not pitch by pitch.

2 questions:

1. When entering in info into the Team Batting category, many numbers are red while some are the normal black. What does the red indicate?

2. I able to edit in info for both Team Batting and Team Fielding, however I am unable to enter info re: Team Pitching? Is there a way to do this that I might be overlooking?

Thank you.

1. The numbers in red are the values you have overridden.

2. You need to put the pitchers in the game and have them pitch one pitch each in order to enter pitcher stats. Check this link:

One last related question to this scenario.

How can I input the inning by inning score & R, H, E in the box score? Or can I?

We do not allow updating of the box score when doing manual entry of stats... it is strictly for the player stats. For people that just want box scores, we recommend creating dummy players for each team and doing home runs for each run, and you can do singles to get Hits right, and do some dummy plays for errors.

If you are trying to get both the box score + stats right, why not just re-score the entire game from a scorebook? It only takes about 15 minutes if the scorebook is well kept and readable.
