Correcting an error

Post by pddigi » Fri Apr 13, 2012 9:21 pm

I forgot to change the status of two players to "not batting". Is there a way to maintain the data, but instead of having two unnamed batters in positions 11 and 12, have the stats roll back to the top of the order? I already tried to fix it by changing players 11 and 12 to "not batting", but it didn't eliminate positions 11 and 12, it just left the at bats in those spots on the scorecard, and made those spots nameless. I hope I am asking the question clearly enough to be understood. What I have now is the correct AB's matched to players 1-10 on the first pass through the lineup. Batter 1's second AB is assigned to non-existent batter 11; batter 2's second AB is assigned to non-existent batter 12; batter 3's second AB is assigned to batter 1; etc. Can this be fixed?

The only way to fix this would be to undo and re-score from the point of that mistake. The events are stored with the lineup positions, and if you scored events in the 11th and 12th spots but they don't exist, that can not be changed.

It might actually be easiest to rescore the game completely. You can use the pitch by pitch listing, the scorecard, and/or the iScorecast to see all the data, and it actually does not take too long to rescore a game when you have all the data in front of you.
