Is there a way to fix this?

Post by mdirks » Thu Mar 08, 2012 7:30 pm

iScore recorded this as an earned run. I disagree - should be unearned. If I am right, how do I fix this?

Lead off batter grounds out 6-3.
Next batter singles to right that gets by the right fielder and the runner winds up at 3B.
Next batter singles to center. Run scores. (no passed balls or wild pitches to this batter)
Next batter is out - soft line drive to 2B.
Next batter ground into force out at 2B.

Without the advance on the error, this run would never have scored.

iScore would have no way to know for sure if the run would have scored without the error, so if an error occurs to advance a baserunner, and a hit scores the runner, we default to earned run.

You can edit the stats directly by going to Game Manager, selecting the game, selecting Pitching Stats for the appropriate team, and decrease the ER column for the pitcher by one by tapping on it, and typing the correct number of earned runs.
