Substitutions

Post by VCMaroonandGold » Sun Mar 04, 2012 12:53 pm

I have watched the video of how to do substitutions and have successfully done a simple substitution. I am having a problem moving a player to a different position (like a pitcher who becomes a second baseman after 5 innings). Any thoughts?

Touch the second baseman. Click the pitcher's name. That's it.

Okay that worked, but i am still having a problem when the player that is pitching was not originally in the game. It keeps the old player on the lineup and substitution, just without a position. (sorry if i am not making perfect sense)

When the substitution screen comes up, there is an "Offense / Defense" selector at the top. You have to make the Offense and Defense substitutions separately. This allows a scorekeeper to just make the changes as they see them... in cases of "double switches" like it seems you are talking about here, the scorekeeper often does not know who goes in for who until the player comes up to bat. We allow you to make the defensive substitution when you see it, and the offensive substitution when you see that, and iScore will reconcile the changes for you.
