I recently received an Ipad and was practicing using it during the Rangers-Tigers game last night. I had a question on whether or not how I scored a particular play was the most efficient. I searched for a previous post but could not find anything.
Tigers had the bases loaded, one out, and the batter hit a ground ball to the third baseman who stepped on third for the second out and then threw to first to force out the batter. Here is how I scored it:
In play
Fielder's Choice
Location/Type of Hit: Hard Ground Ball
Fielders Involved: 5-3
What happened to Runner on third?: Run not Scored
What happened to Runner on second?: Out-Force out
What happened to Runner on first?: Safe-Held up
What happened to Batter?: Out-Double Play
This seemed to credit all the stats correctly, but just want to make sure this way makes the most sense.
Thanks..

Yes, that is the correct way to score the play.
