I love the option to do this on the fly but it is cumbersome to send to a group or in advance of a game. As far as I can tell, I can use the Contact List on my iPad to send all of the game reports but it isn't an option when sending the game link.
We are getting quite the following on the live play-by-play feeds and everyone wants the link well in advance of the start of games so they can forward on to family and friends. Looks to me like you can't send the game link until after the game has started so I have been starting the game, sending the link and then undoing the start. Is there any easier way to do that too?

Re: Emailing Game Links
You should actually just send out http://iscorecast.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; as the link, and let everyone know your customer ID. They can enter it on that screen and view any of the games. This way you only have to send one email, not one per game. The "email game link" was intended as a way for you to quickly send a link when someone asks "what are you doing" at the game. You would typically not have this person in your contact list, so this is a quick way to send them a link. People who are regularly watching your games can always just go to http://iscorecast.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; so they won't need a separate link for each game.

Re: Emailing Game Links
this has been posted before on the board (that is ok to re ask, as i understand some time hard to find in search).
the short answer is you are correct.
the longer answer, it is on FTM list for future consideration to have address book connectivity in the email link pop up window .. as background.. both address book connectivity and the misc email individual link were both new features in version 3.X. Originally the misc email link was envisioned for one off on the fly at the ball park emails. Since then a number of folks have asked to have it tie to address book, like email stats now does on iOS.
that said, you can always point folks to the iscore cast menu for your device that does not change game to game and have them select the game. this is one URL that can use many times, it is in the form of.
http://data.iscorecentral.com/iscorecas ... 0&replay=1
where 1234567890 = is your specific device ID.

Re: Emailing Game Links
Thank you...great info (and so fast!) and I will share the URL...fyi, I like the other link becuase it actually has the team names and date in it and seems less intimidating for some of our older/less tech savy fans.
Re: Emailing Game Links
make the tradeoff as you see fit for your user needs.
as an aside of course, most email programs let you create "hyper links" with what ever text description you want, eg "click here for bobcat game cast menu" and have the real URL behind it..

LittleLeagueMom,
I'm with you on this one...see this thread: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3555" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for my thoughts and workaround to the sending before the game problem.
I really believe the Email Game Link functionality could be much more user friendly, but FTM doesn't seem convinced. We need to keep working on them

Re: Emailing Game Links
We are convinced that some people want to use it differently than our intended use.
We just need to prioritize this alternate way of using it. We feel like having the http://iscorecast.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; link is much more convenient for regular viewers than having to have separate links for each game you want to view. It also allows historical viewing of past games with a single URL which is very nice.
We are hearing from you guys that people want to email game links directly as well. We just want to make sure everyone is aware of the options that are already available. (In addition to the things mentioned above, there is always enabling the Twittercasting as well which sends a link at the start of every game as well.)
