Forgot to skip batter
Forgot to skip batter
We had a player not end up batting due to injury (was allowed to play the field). He was listed as the last place batter. I remembered to skip him the first time, but not the 2 following times. The game ended. How do I go about fixing this to show him as skipped and the correct batters afterward with the proper at bat? I thought I saw something where you could do an offensive substitution for each batter afterwards. I could not find a place to do that. If I go to pitch by pitch, it only lets me change the defense. Thanks for your help.
Re: Forgot to skip batter
When all players are set to bat = yes, the offense/batting substitution screen is disabled by design. if you add a player and set bat =no, in starting line up, the offensive/batting substitution screen will be available.
To correct your situation, you may want to undo and rescore.
You can also do Substitutions, but it may be more work, depending on where your game is at and your familiarity with iscore subs..
You can also use manual stat override for the game as an option to correct stats only..

Re: Forgot to skip batter
Thanks for the response. I ended up undoing back to the bottom of the 3rd. I'll keep in mind if it happens again about adding a batter and setting all to bat to "no".
Re: Forgot to skip batter
for others reading, although it is not any ones desire to re score a game.. I
having done it jplevine, would you say it is not as bad as it sounds.

Re: Forgot to skip batter
No, it was not that bad to redo. Some suggestions I would make if you need to go through a significant redo:
- • Email / print the scorebook for both teams as it currently stands. I did that and then wrote initials in the boxes for the proper batters just to keep track easier as I went to re-enter the data.
• Remember to put in your pitching changes along the way. It may help to write those in as well.
• It is probably best to do a redo as soon after the game as possible so you have some recollection of plays.
Re: Forgot to skip batter
thanks for the tips for the community. !!
for tI bring this up because i think we sometimes over estimate how hard it is to go back and re score.
when in fact it can be fairly straight forward, especially is you have access to print out the scorecard. / pitch by pitch and/or play by play. you really can recreate rather quickly.
