Updating Only Runs

Post by pnstalum » Mon May 02, 2011 4:31 am

After 4 innings yesterday, our coach who usually does the pitching had to leave and I needed to pitch for the final two innings. I could not score those innings, but would like to update the final score - I'm okay not having all the stats entered. I know I can update hitting and fielding stats, but I cannot find a way to just update the score for the two innings I missed. I should mention I'm running the Android version.

Thanks!

You are not missing anything. The program is built around the idea of scoring games as you see them and the final score is a by product of that action. You can manually over ride stats, and edit non game changing plays after the fact, but can not manually over ride the final outcome of score. this program is more about the scoeig of a game than the tracking of final scores. which can be easily done in spreadsheets or word documents. You can email your self a box score and cut and paste and edit if you want.

Thanks OhioTex, I had a feeling that would be the case... I guess one option I have is to add Runs to the player stats and that would update the score. Of course, as luck would have it... the final 2 innings had most of the scoring. I just need to remember who crossed the plate :-)

actually adding runs to the player stats will NOT update the game score, it will update the player stats, (and team stats) but it will not change the game score (the score card, the play by play, the box score, the game manager score etc. )

The easiest way is to fix the box score is to score home runs for each inning to get the score right, then misc-end inning. You can then fix the stats after the fact. Maybe the scorekeeper for the other team will give you a copy of their scorebook? Then you can try to re-create the actual events in iscore.

Didn't even think about asking for a copy of the other team's scorebook... such a simple solution :-) I guess all the rain we are getting and rainouts / rescheding is affecting my ability to reason... need some sun!! And, more baseball games! Thanks team mom!
