Double Switch

Post by cdlehman2 » Tue Apr 26, 2011 8:24 pm

Many times on defense, a Manager will do a "double switch" when changing pitchers - ie - will substitute a position player for the pitcher (for that batting order) and the relief pitcher for a position player (who may have just batted). How does one enter this type of substitution to maintain the integrity of the batting order?

With iScore, you just do the subs as you see them. You may not know when watching a game if a double switch occurred, but luckily, you don't have to. When you see changes in the field, just make the defensive changes. When batters come to the plate, make the offensive changes. One of the main reasons we went with the approach we did is the double switch --- by allowing you to just enter what you see, you don't have to be inside the coach's head, or get information from another source in order to score.
