I figured out too late that at the end of the batting order I added 4 players instead of going to the top of the order. Through pitch by pitch, I tried to change the batter to the correct kid, but it's not working. it's acting like I have two kids with the same name, batter 1 and batter 12....
help!

Re: Accidentally added batters at end of lineup
You can try subbing in the right batters by going to Game Manager, selecting the game, selecting Pitch by Pitch, and subbing in the right batter when the wrong one is at the plate, but it may actually take less time to just rescore the game.

@ mizzp
you may need to re score the game.. why?
iscore takes very seriously the 'battering order" once you set the line up, it creates an underlying code for the player in each specific line up slot and then assigns activities to him, this allows you to later add/change human readable names (subs) to that batter spot and then it attaches the stats to the player.. but it expects the order to be consistent.
this is one of those things you unfortunately need to catch real time, and remove from line up (bat = no) or use misc skip bater (no out). when they come up. Iscore is particular about not changing the number of batters in the line up once the line up is set.

Re: Accidentally added batters at end of lineup
Thanks OhioTex. I ended up going back and rescoring the last 1/2 of the last inning, when the error occured. I have 11 skipped players (no names) on the score card, and it looks chunky, but the stats are correct. It was my first live game, and I had a hard time keeping up with the action, position changes per inning, and hearing the pitch called, but in the end, it's a fantastic app and I have great stats and scorebook for this game. Now if I can just get the other Mom's to quit chatting me up during the game, I can get through it error free!!!
Re: Accidentally added batters at end of lineup
Keep in mind, that you can 'fix' the human readable substitutions after the fact. Iscore tracks 'score what you see by position identifier not human name' second slot batter does xyz, iscore does not care if he was bob this inning then Charlie next. It just records what the second spot batter did. Same with fielding, it records short stop made the out on this play, you can always go back and add or edit who was at short on that play later. It is however important to keep the scorebook in line, you figure out how many are batting. If you bat more than nine.
Enjoy.
P.s. The chatter never stops, you just better at multi tasking...
