Swinging Strike (button sensitivity)

Post by mprusak » Mon Apr 11, 2011 6:23 am

Is it just me? (it probably is). I seem to be having trouble getting swinging strikes to register. They are constantly recording as strikes. I'm wondering if anything has changed in the newer versions that has made this button less sensitive to the swipe. I guess just curious if anyone else is noticing this. I don't remember having any problems last year. That said, I'm assuming this is just me (user error).

Nothing has changed in the application for how swinging strikes are entered. If it has been cold where you are, sometimes the touches are not as sensitive with cold fingers.

I'm having the same problem. No matter how I try to "swipe" the strike button, I can't get it to register a swinging strike--have to push the button and then it's recorded as a strike looking. I'm using an iPad 2. Temperature is not an issue, as it's happened in warm weather also. Any suggestions?

Do you have a screen protector on your iPad? I have read that using certain screen protectors are causing pinch and swipe issues with iPads.

Put your finger on the strike button, and slide your finger up. It is a bottom to above swipe that will register the swinging strike.

Hey, glad its not just me...

I do have a screen protector an maybe that is the culprit. I occasionally have the same problem with quick outs. I do understand the swipe-up action required.

Weather not an issue here either (somewhat surprisingly).

Again, never had a problem before, so maybe the new screen protector is causing it.

Thanks for the tip. I don't have a screen protector, but maybe I am pressing down too hard as I am "swiping." I'll try it again next game!

hopefully someone with an iPad2 can confirm they can "swipe" swinging.
