Correcting a scoring play after the game

Post by joecombs » Mon Apr 04, 2011 6:39 pm

Situation is runner was on 2nd base. Batter hits a single but gets tagged out at 2nd trying for a double. This was the third out of the inning. I didn't realize until the next inning that the runner on 2nd had crossed the plate before the third out was made. Is there any way I can go back an modify this play to account for the score? It has no other effect on the scoring of the game.

It depends on how you entered the play in the first place when asked " what happens to the runner at 2nd?"

Go to the pitch by pitch editor and find the play, and try to edit it. For instance if the first time you answered home > safe > run not scored, you can edit run not scored to run scored..

If you had only scored the R on 2 to 3rd base, would you be able to correct this in PBP in a later innung or post-game to show the R as scoring before the tag out - it doesn't appear that you could

You can not change a player reaching third base to a player reaching home. You can change a reason a player makes it to a base, but not the base they made it to. Home has a special case where as long as you advanced the runner there, you can toggle between "Run Scored" and "Run Not Scored". But you had to have entered the runner advancing to home in the first place to have this option.

I have a similar situations. I scored a running as being tagged out at home for the 3rd out. Actually he as safe and the runner behind him was tagged out at home. The game is finished and I'm off by a run. When I go back in to edit the play it won't let me change that guy to safe so I can't adjust the other out and give that team the run. what should i do to correct this?

Thanks

This is one of those ' game changing mistakes' . You you can manually over ride the stats or rescore by going go back by undo and re score from there.

I don't want to go back and rescore from there - I'm fine with just changing the stats but how do I just add a run for the other team during that inning?

From game info screen, select batting stats, select a cell, and the keyboard screen pops up, type in nuw vale..

When you over ride the stats.. You change the players stats, you do not change the score card or box score or play by play.. To fix those you would undo and rescore, depending when that occurred in the game it may not be too time consuming
