Pitch Location Box
Pitch Location Box
In the pitch location screen why is the light colored box from ground to top of a pitcher's head? I would have thought that the light colored box would represent the area of a strike and would go from a Batters knees to chest

Re: Pitch Location Box
The pitch location screen can be set to be the view from the catcher's perspective (looking at the pitcher), or the view from the pitcher's perspective (looking at the catcher). You would want to set it depending on where you are sitting.
The light area represents the strikezone, and is not meant to be to 'scale', though from the catcher's perspective, the pitcher would look small relative to the strike zone since he would be at a distance. The image shown is more to show the perspective of the view than the actual spatial relationship to the player. Every player has a different strikezone depending on their height as well, so we would recommend just scoring pitches in their positions relative to the batter's strikezone.
