Never mind. I figured out how to root my nook color and the iscore works pretty nicely on it.

Just to let you know that I got my new Zenithink ZT-180 v2 (512MB RAM, 4GB storage, Android 2.2, 20110304 firmware update) and iScore works on it. Not a great tablet, but I got one (with cover and keyboard) for about $200. Which was about the max I was ready to spend, since I will be using it mostly for iScore.

I loaded all the player and team data... long job (300 players +), but made easier by the use of an external USB keyboard.

The only glitch is that it does not rotate the screen (I think I read somewhere here that this is known on the Android version). It stays in fixed portrait mode, but with the back button on top of the screen. Strange, but it is not the only app to behave so... it probably does not depend on iScore.

I'll be taking it to the field this weekend to see how it behaves outdoors (battery life, screen viewing and all).

Nice to hear on Zenithink ZT-180

FYI --
Back button on top left of screen, is consistent in iScore baseball across platforms.. (iPhone, iPad, Droids). it is not a unique issue. just how it is.

Currently Android version of iScore is not 'customized' for tablets, it is on the list of FTM future plans...

When iScore initially launched an iPad tailored version it was only portrait mode, but if i were guessing, when FTM does do a 'tablet version for droid', it will take advantage of landscape mode initially due to the positive response it got on the iPad.

By "back button" I mean the hardware button... the big round one. Shouldn't that be on the bottom?

A small issue on the Zenithink ZT-180 (v2) is the battery life. On the field it gave up after little over 2 hours. Wi-Fi off, but there are probably other optimizations I have to understand and apply. I'm looking through the zt180 forums... maybe a power manager app and some other tweak could prolong battery life.

Android devices have a utility that shows what is using the battery. We have noticed about 70-80% (on average) of the battery life is being used by the Screen on the device. If you turn down the brightness on your device, that will likely extend the battery life more than anything else you can do.
