The problem is that I have to assign the players to the leagues. The same team can play in up to 4 leagues, based on age. But there is an overlap, so some players can play in 2 leagues, others just in 1. And all this should be checked when we are on the field because some teams have player shortage and show up with players that are not the right age.

This is the reason I need the date of birth on players (I stuck it after the last name). The association of players with leagues should make it easier for me to check rosters and input the lineups during pre-game (I think).

Italian baseball is a bit different from american one, in that the same association that wants to have a team in the adult leagues must also have youth teams. So youth teams are not based on local sponsors and volunteers... they are managed and coached by the same people from 6 yo players to adult ones. And since there are few players in many towns this only works if you allow some to play in 2 different leagues.

Marco , that sounds like a lot of typing, no way around it. It may not sound like much help, but iscore allowing multiple leagues (many to many vs one to one) helps. Not sure I have any suggestions other than, click by click editing at this time...
