iPad swipe for ground out defaults to line drive

Post by CoachJoe » Wed Mar 09, 2011 7:27 pm

When I swipe the out button on the iPad version of iScore (v 3.00.11) and select any of the ground out options it always defaults to line drive. The iPhone version defaults to ground out. Is there any way to default the swipes to show as ground out on th iPad version.

Thanks

We believe this is fixed in the v3.09 release that is awaiting approval from Apple. Just tried on a device here, and it is definitely defaulting to Ground Ball.

I'm having the same issue with the new release, 3.09, on the Ipad. When using the quick out swipe, it defaults to Line Drive instead of Grounder. Not a huge issue but an unwanted extra step.

Just created a new game with v3.09 on an iPad running OS 4.2.1, clicked Play, swiped Out, selected 6-3 Ground Out, and it is defaulting to Grounder.

Are there more steps involved where you are seeing it default to Line Drive? Is there any way you can make it happen starting with a new game so we can reproduce?

iScore - make a line drive out, then make a swipe 6-3. I think you will see that the ball placement screen shows "line drive" (or whatever the last out was). But the play by play text will say "ground out". Caged1, is that what you are seeing, or are you saying when you're done that the play by play text is showing "line drive" when you are done?

I am on an iPad using 3.09 and iOS 4.3 (but I saw this on 4.2.1 as well).

I can repeat the problem (iPad v 3.09).

Enter test game in progress,
Swipe out, 4-3 ground out, default to ground
Next batter reach single medium line drive
Next batter, swipe ground out, 4-3 ground out, default to line drive

That is exactly what I'm seeing JCBeckman. It does seem to default to Line Drive from the start. I didn't notice that it switched to grounder after hitting the standard Ground Out button since I pretty much use the quick out swipe exclusively for ground outs, unless it's unassisted. The work around would seem to be to just use the standard Ground Out for the first ground ball out so that it changes the default to Grounder on subsequent quick outs. Again, probably not a big deal to even leave it as a line drive as long as it doesn't affect the play call (unless it effects the hit charts?).
