Missed Base Appeal/Put-Out Scoring

Post by jlondon81 » Sat Feb 26, 2011 8:33 pm

I was retroactively scoring 2/26 Braves-Mets from MLB.com and came upon this line.

Diory Hernandez singles on a ground ball to left fielder Lucas Duda. Ed Lucas out at third, left fielder Lucas Duda to catcher Mike Nickeas to third baseman Zach Lutz. Shawn Bowman to 2nd. Two out.

What's not there was that Lucas missed 3rd and was called out on appeal. The play was originally scored a run as he would have scored from 2nd on the play. I've played with the scoring many different ways. The best i can do is credit Lucas with making it safe to 3rd, then after completing that play, score him out for missing the base. I can also score the missed base while inputting the play. In both cases, I cannot score the put-out to give the fielders credit (7-2-5). Am I missing something here?

Suggestions appreciated. My scoring of the game is complete so an easy way to edit would be helpful.

As you have already completely scored....you may want to 'override the stats' and move on

How to override/edit a stat...
Game manager, select game, select team fielding stats,
tap on the square you want to change (eg player and put out) up pops keyboard, type in new value, hit return on keyboard. Repeat as needed. Then back button to return to game info screen

Missed base out
For future reference, there is an out choice called "missed base" (ie what happen to runner ed Lucas?, third, out, missed base). The missed base out choice automatically assigns the put out to the baseman (eg. Third). Iscore does not credit nor give you an option to assign an assist (ie., 7-2-5).

Thank you. I left the scoring as is, assigning the missed base while inputting the play. It just didn't look right after viewing the scorecard and I wanted to see if the assist would be credited.
