using google to search website

Post by jim25w » Mon Jan 17, 2011 6:10 pm

When i put my website url into the top line box on the browser {IE} it goes directly to the website and everything works fine. But when i try to use the google search box with the same url that works in the top line box, google can't find the site. Any ideas because if someone does a search using google their not going to be directed to my site.

Sorry, we don't know much about how Google Search works. Maybe someone with Google Search experience can help out here.

in one you are entering the URL and the exact address, "so it knows".. in the other you are using google search technology, which has not "cataloged your web page". . you are experiencing the the lack of Search Engine Optimization on your team web site. (which for some, particular in youth sports is good).. you can tell folks your url, or yuo can do some web work to help google bots find and scan your home page. i find it nice to not have google sniffing on my youth sites, especially behind the password protections.
