Embedding password-protected stats

Post by iscore@tragus.org » Sun Oct 10, 2010 6:28 pm

I'm embedding the team & game stats in our team's Google site. I have the iScore team site password protected which means we have to enter that password within the iframe of the Google site. Is there a way to pass the iScore team site password in the URL that I'm using to fill the iframe?

No, you can not pass it in the URL. But you do not have to password protect it if you want it to be visible without a user typing a password.

OK, thanks. I want it password protected so folks will just have to enter the stats password into the iframe. No big deal, really, just a convenience thing.

Maybe we misunderstood... if you have a password protected site, and embed the stats in another IFRAME, it will still remember the password. So users will have to enter the password to view the stats even if it is embedded in another site. It sounded like you wanted to pass the password in so the user does not have to type the password. If you just wanted to make sure they DO have to type the password, that is how it works now.
