Is there a way to turn off the clock?
Also, is there something we ca do about the hand-offs for running plays. It's tough to know right off the bat how many yards a ball carrier got when you have to take in where he got the handoff. Is there a way to make that a feature to turn it off? Like if you hit run play, it takes you right to the ball carrier and then you can say how many yards he got.
Besides that, great app. I loved this for baseball/softball and am hoping to do the same with football.

Re: Turn off clock and handoff questions
We do not have a way to turn the clock off. It is used to determine time of possession, etc. If you do not care about times, you can just ignore the clock, and adjust it / use Next Quarter to start new quarters.
For the handoffs, just put the player with the ball at the final yardline the player ended the run at, and iScore will correctly calculate the statistics. Statistics are calculated from line of scrimmage, but the actual handoff takes place behind the line of scrimmage, not at the line of scrimmage, and we want to reflect that properly for the iScorecast and potential future analytics that can take advantage of having that information.

Re: Turn off clock and handoff questions
I would also like to be able to do something different with the clock. The previous computer program I used asked for the clock time to be input on any change of possession. It would be helpful if this could be added as an option. I understand that the automatic clock is nice for the iscorecast or for twitter, but for those of us just using it solely for stats, its been tough to try and pause it and keep it with the actual clock time after each play. Time of Possession is a big deal to the team I keep stats for.
Also, I would like something similar to what the OP was asking. I keep stats in the pressbox with the offensive coaches. They keep up with yards gained on each play; just a simple plus or minus. When it's a big gain they can't add easily, they ask me. Would it be possible to list the total yardage gained or lost in the play by play section? The previous program would list the yardage gained or lost on the play input screen after I would enter the spot of the ball. I like dragging the player to the spot of the gain because it is more accurate. But the info on the screen when you drag the player shows the yardage gained from the spot of the handoff and not the line of scrimmage.
I really like the program. I have used iScore baseball for several years and decided to try football this season.

Re: Turn off clock and handoff questions
We have the enhancement to show yardage gained / lost while dragging the player on our enhancement list.
The idea of entering clock time on change of possession is also a good one that we will add to our list.
Thank you.

Thanks for the fast reply. It really is a great program. Thanks again
Re: Turn off clock and handoff questions
Would love to see the option where I could cut out the actual handoff. If got mixed up on more than one occasion and placed the handoff down the field where runner was tackled. For me, it's just to many steps and something else to get confused on.
