Muff Fumble issue

Post by playsfair234 » Mon Nov 28, 2011 3:23 pm

There is an issue regarding a muff fumble on a Special Team play (I.e. on a kickoff, on a punt) and not counting as a turnover for the team that muffed it and then lost possession.

I believe the problem is that the team kicking the ball starts in possession and is the one retaking possession - thus it is not counted as a turnover in the program. It needs to change so that the team receiving the kick who winds up muffing and losing the ball gets credited with a turnover. Right now it does not do so.

We are not clear which stat you are referring to. There would not be a "drive" in this case since the kickoff receiving team never actually became the "offensive" team. Which stats specifically are we getting wrong in this scenario? Thank you.

The Turnover Stat.

On a muff by the receving team, the kicking team recovers the fumble. Isn't that supposed to be a turnover? if it is, it doesn't show up on the overview as a turnover.

We have updated iScore Football to now count this situation as a turnover as well. This will be part of the next update. Thank you for pointing this out.
