Transferring Data from iPad to iPhone
Transferring Data from iPad to iPhone
I am trying to transfer the game data that I have on my iPad to my iPhone. I get the Bluetooth set up and it is working. The data says it is transferring to the iPhone, but when I go to the game data in the iPhone, nothing is showing up. What steps am I missing? It is probably something simple knowing me. But getting the data on the iPhone will help me get the information to the coach quicker via e-mail. Thanks for any information you can pass along. (I am really liking the app.)

Re: Transferring Data from iPad to iPhone
If the game is transferring, and then you are not seeing the game, it sounds like there could be an issue with "Leagues". Go to League Manager on the device the game is not showing up on, and make sure there is a checkmark next to All. Then go back to the Game Manager list and see if the game appears.

Still not showing up. Do you have to set up a league? I just set up the games and team rosters on my iPad.

Re: Transferring Data from iPad to iPhone
When the game imports, it will import into whatever league you have selected. If you can email us directly at support@iscorecentral.com with the customer ID of each of your devices, and the steps you are using to try and transfer a game, we can help you directly. The Customer ID can be found on the Options screen in iScore, and please be sure to do an Options->Export from both devices so we can see the data that is on each device. Thank you.

Re: Transferring Data from iPad to iPhone
Couple ides/suggestions...
On both devices turn "all league" on ( this will just eliminate league as an issue). No you do not have to use leagues, but setting both devices to all on, takes the variable out of the equation..
Sounds like you are trying on the iPad "options>data sharing> send via Bluetooth"
Have you tried on the Iphone, "Options>data sharing> get via Bluetooth"?
If that does not work, try it without Bluetooth, instead try it via the web..
On the source iPad, connect to internet and "option>export" your data to the FTM admin server database..
then on the receiving iPhone, "option>data sharing>get from web database".
Enter iPad device Id, and follow on screen prompts to transfer and map over games and players from the iPad to iPhone.
"options>data sharing> get from web database" is very fast if you have decent Internet connections.
Hope this helps ..

Re: Transferring Data from iPad to iPhone
Update..
I just tested the basketball Bluetooth data sharing from an iPad and and it worked just fine. (both devices have most current iOS and iScore software). (detail steps below)
...BUT I suggest if available "use data sharing by web" instead if you can -- to me it is less steps and easier.
Commentary..I have used the baseball app and data sharing by web on a regular and extensive basis and I found web sharing by web much easier than Bluetooth sharing because of the hit and miss process for me in Bluetooth device find and pairing. if you have internet connection it just feels easier and faster to me to use the web sharing method.
If you do choose to use bluetooth data sharing ... the steps are
0. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on in each device
(device home screen>settings>general>Bluetooth on)
1. Source device (eg your iPad)
iScore>Options>data sharing> send via Bluetooth (looking for....)
2.Receiving device (eg your iPhone)
Iscore>Options>data sharing> get via Bluetooth (looking for....)
3. assuming devices "find" each other, you will get prompted to choose a device,
on one device (eg ipad) choose the other device (eg iPhone) (it seems to work equally well which ever device you use to start). then 'accept' connection on the other device (eg iPhone). You are now Bluetooth paired/connected.
4. The source device (ipad) after you accept, should now give you a pop up window, "click ok when data transfer complete" ... Do not click yet.. You will need to first complete the data transfer on the receiving device (eg iPhone)..
5. On The receiving device (iPhone)
The screen should change and now show "select data" "games and teams"
(information on the source iPad device).
You now select on receivng device ( iPhone screen) what games or teams you want to transfer in. The next screen is the " map data" screen (same screen and steps you get when sharing by web)..
6. Next steps is o "Verify" the mapping and "Import" (click buttons in upper right corner)
7. On receiving devcie (iphone) "Data has been successfully imported" click ok.
On source device (iPad) "click ok ..when complete" now ok to click ok. You are done.
On receiving device (iPhone) ..
Go back to home screen, select 'game manger' and the transferred games will be on the list..( you may need to scroll down or up to find).
Likewise any teams that got transferred in will show up in team
Hope this helps, feel free tom reply back if needed..
