Idea - Differentiate the player "number" squares with some color code, say White Numbers on dark background (for Guest) and Dark Numbers on White background (for Home)? Also carry that same color coding over to the Foul screen and Sub screens ...

Yes, major problem when scoring. To make this even better, on the game info screen ask what color each teams jersey is and what the color of their numbers are. Have this carry over to the blocks behind players.

Will this be included in a future update?

Yes, we will definitely be adding color coding to a future version.
We are about to release our next update which includes iScorecast (that is the major piece of functionality going into this release), but our following release will likely include the color picking update.
Apple has gotten much better at approvals in recent weeks... they are down from taking weeks for updates to get approved to days, so it won't be too long.
Thank you.

Yea, being able to add the school's colors for each team would be a great way to differentiate between teams during the game. Sometimes things can happen so fast and you are adding stats for both teams it can get a little confusing. Having the schools colors would help alot.

In the versions out now, the team color only shows on a slim strip above the number squares.
I've scored 5 games now and have gotten the team player for a specific stat wrong because their numbers were the same on opposing teams--especially on the foul screen that reverts to one team on the left that may be opposite of the in game screen due to switching sides at half.
One suggestion would be to offer the option of selecting 2 colors for each team--the "light" color, and their "dark" color--that represents the home and away colorways. Then use those colors to outline each of the player number blocks on every screen, so that it is easily recognizable just looking at that square. Right now I frequently find myself looking at all the numbers of players on the team to quickly reference which side is which.
Another possibility is to use the team colors on opposite sides of the basketball court to change the "paint" of the key.

We are continuing to try and come up with better ways to make the teams more obvious. Changing button colors is tricky for the reasons previously mentioned, but we will continue to try and improve this in future versions.
In "Coach" mode on the iPad version, it actually lists the names of the players next to the buttons which can be helpful. You can also select directly from the lineups on the iPad in portrait orientation for any of the scoring modes - this allows you to see the names with the numbers and also the team names are right above the lineups which makes things more obvious as well.
