Data Sharing for Basketball

Post by mxc » Fri Apr 16, 2010 12:33 pm

Are there any plans to implement data sharing capabilities into the iscore basketball application? If our scorekeeper misses a game we need the ability to have a second app user to score the game and merge the data.

We will likely add this feature to basketball in a future release as well. In the meantime, we can always transfer an entire database between devices for you if you send us an email at support@fasterthanmonkeys.com.

I just tried out the new data sharing between my iPhone 3Gs and my iPad and it worked great.

It has a team mapping and individual player mapping for players/teams that existed on both devices.

All the data transferred quickly over Bluetooth.

This was on iScore 2.20.5.

FYI - last i heard... bluetooth works well between same type of devices .. iphone to iphone.. ipad to ipad.. but not ipad to iphone. (unless apple has updated / fixed that in recent release).. if you need to share across devices, eg, iphone to ipad.. share by web database works just as well and as fast (if both have internet connections and have exported their data)

With Basketball, you can share between iPhone and iPad using bluetooth because it is a single universal application.
Check out the new iScore Baseball documentation page!
Includes videos and user manual.
