Somehow today the clock advanced to next quarter but the quarter did not change. Any idea if I can adjust afterwards?

You can turn the clock off temporarily using Options from the main scoring screen, and a Next Period button will appear, and you can then turn the clock back on. Or you can double tap the clock, set it to 0:01, and let it time out, and press the Start Period button when the clock runs to 0:00.
