"Career" capability?

With a new season on the horizon, I am not really seeing if/how I am able to keep career stats along with season stats.

As a matter of fact, how would I carry a team forward into a new season? I believe I could do it through the League Manager but then do I lose the ability to differentiate between conference and non-conference games (i.e. is there the ability to have a "league" (conference) inside of another "league" (season by year)?

The issues with starting a new season are handled in basketball the same way they are with baseball. Here are a couple of threads that talk about leagues / seasons more:
