Re: Winning pitcher
Yep, this week the official scorekeeper gave a sacrifice bunt to the batter even though it was for the third out of the inning. To their credit there was at least a runner at first base! Season is closing in on half over already!

Winning pitcher (responded)
7 inning NAIA softball game. Visiting Starting pitcher goes 3.2 innings and has given up 2 earned runs in the bottom of the 4th and leaves bases loaded with 2 outs and a 7-2 lead. Relief pitcher#1 comes in and gets first batter faced out on a line drive. Relief Pitcher #1 pitches 5th inning giving u...

Re: Softball Request
I've never really played or coached the game but have done fastpitch scorekeeping for over a decade now and I've always wondered if anyone does or wants to track bunt and/or slap attempts regardless of the outcome of the pitch other than the parent of the slapper. Seems to me if you were the coach y...

Re: Home or Away? Pre game line up set up
Haven't had to swap teams in a while but as I recall there used to be an issue with those following on i-Scorecast that the teams wouldn't switch home and away right away on the Scorecast. As I recall you had to go back out of the game screen and do an I-Scorecast Synchronize to get rid of that glit...

Re: Scores not matching w iscorecast
I recall this happens sometimes when I had to switch home and away teams right before the game starts and I didn't resynch with iscorecast. Been a while though so you might wait for supports answer.

Re: Ruling question
I think once the runner is called out for interference the ball is dead, so if there were less than two outs you have runner from first advance to second and the batter is now on first. Is that what they called?

Re: marking options for stolen bases
It appears I've come across another one of those differences between fastpitch and baseball rules. The first one I was aware of is the batter can change sides of the plate in the middle of an at bat in fastpitch but can't in baseball. From NCAA Softball rules 2015 14.14 Stolen Base 14.14.9 To a base...

Re: marking options for stolen bases
I've got nothing to back this up other than intuition. I think if the batter hesitates or not rounding first enters into scoring it also. If the batter does not hesitate but continues on to second then the batter is given a single with making it to second on the throw. If the batter hesitates though...

Re: marking options for stolen bases
This is shifting the discussion a bit and I may have asked this before but couldn't find where I did. A play I've had a question about is runner on second. Batter hits a grounder to right field. Right fielder throws home, but it is cut off to hold batter at first. Runner scores. Batter sees no one i...

Re: Stats according to Batting order
Thanks, using the SEQ stat and individual player card I was able to work around it just using paper and pencil plus iscore for the information I needed. Luckily it was just the lead off batter and I only had to look at 4 players.
