Looks like I was able to revive the iPad. What do I do to protect myself from losing everything if this should happen again?

I've scored seven games into our season, and after completing last night's game, it appears that my iPad has died. It won't turn on or anything. Is there any way that I can access the data that was saved through these first seven games? Can I use a different iPad and login using the same login info ...
