I may have found the solution...went to Amazon and ordered an iPad stylus...works great..could be that microscopic amounts of rosin, brick dust, gator aid, horsehide, mustard, etc. Could have been affecting the screens response...second best $15 bucks I ever spent...just make sure you get a stylus m...

Happened again this afternoon....no noticeable pattern...no response problems with other apps. A good solution might be a "Tab" key that would toggle thru input fields on the active screen. Thanks for your attention

That's where I usually tap, but sometimes I have to tap repeatedly and mutter "c'mon !" until it responds....thanks for taking the time to give your input. Good Luck!
